Negotiated Study Week4:Castle Modelling

Throughout the modelling process i kept reminding myself to stay within the limits of 10,000 polycount as i didn't want the gameplay to lag. So trying to stay basic with the environment modelling i tried to go as much as i can with the designs from the concept art and i from the concept art i wanted to use a block based design so it would be simpler to model in Maya and wouldn't be a factor in the polycount.

As you can see i modelled each floor individually as i see this as a much easier process once i export the models into Unity and as you can see there is a very limited amount of detail gone into modelling as this will help to pile up more detail to be place upon the texturing process o fthe game environment.

Overall i believe the modelling process went well i was able to create the designs and model them of how i wanted it to look and positioning turned out well and also the models will be re-done to fit the textures better, with the remodelling of certain areas of the castle to better positioned and scaled so that the castle as a whole fits nicely together.
